"Your Mistake Saved Me"

Level 34 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Antony Rubin

A.J. Allee limped from middle position before Antony Rubin followed with a limp from the cutoff. Seiji Sasaki wanted to play for more and raised to 1,850,000 on the button. Allee called, and Rubin called to keep the pot three-handed.

The 4510 flop led to a pair of checks over to Sasaki, who went all-in for 12,850,000 in response.

Allee folded after some thought before Antony Rubin put in his remaining 1,500,000 to be at risk.

The payout desk appeared to be in the near future for Rubin, but the turn had other plans as the A came down, which prompted Rubin to stand up from his seat in exclamation.

The 9 river completed the board, and Rubin survived.

"I should have raised preflop," said Allee, who claimed to have ace-king.

"Your mistake saved me," replied Rubin as he collected the chips.
