"Best Hand of My Summer So Far"

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

With roughly 200,000 in the pot on a flop of A9Q, Hiroto Nishijima bet 40,000 from middle position. Avneesh Munjal, on the button, raised to 135,000, and Nishijima quickly called.

The J turn completed a straight on the board. Munjal continued for 290,000, only for Nishijima to respond with a raise to 600,000. Munjal made the call.

When the Q paired the board on the river, Nishijima checked. Munjal then moved all in for 1,200,000, sending Nishijima deep into the tank.

As the decision was ongoing, one of Nishijima's tablemates complained that the hand had been going on for 15 minutes, prompting a clock call. Nishijima apologized to the table before eventually releasing his hand face up, revealing K10 for a straight.

"Best hand of my summer so far," Munjal said with a smile as he sent his cards into the muck and scooped the pot.
