Wattel Wins With Rough Eight

Level 5

2-7 Lowball Triple Draw

Matt Vengrin raised under the gun, and received calls from Christopher Vitch on the button, Eli Elezra in the small blind, and Mike Wattel in the big blind.

Elezra tossed three cards, Wattel only needed one card, while Vengrin and Vitch each took two.

Wattel then led out with a bet, which Vengrin called. Vitch raised, folding out Elezra, and Wattel three-bet. Vengrin also decided to muck, after which Vitch called.

On the second draw, Vitch drew one card against the pat hand of Wattel. Wattel tossed in another bet, Vitch called, and the pair both patted on the final draw.

They then checked it to showdown, where Wattel announced a "very rough eight."

"Me too," Vitch replied for Wattel to table 8x7x6x4x3x.

Vitch must have had one of the two rougher eights out there, as he looked at his cards one last time before mucking his hand.
