Hansen Doubles Through Volpe

Level 15
Gus Hansen
Gus Hansen

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Phil Ivey raised out of the small blind and then called a three-bet by Gus Hansen in the big blind. They checked the 1086 flop and Ivey's bet on the 7 turn forced out Hansen, who was visibly frustrated.

Gus Hansen: 7x6x / Ax8x2x3x / 8x

Hansen was left on a severe short stack and then raised over a completion of Paul Volpe, who called. They got it in after fourth street and Volpe only then noticed that he had mis-read his hand with split deuces to mesh together the remainder of his board.

Hansen earned the double and climbed back out of immediate danger.

"Well, I stopped bleeding, it's a very important feature," the Dane said in table chat.
