Wasserson Loses It All to Thung and Ivey

Level 16
Eric Wasserson
Eric Wasserson

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Eric Wasserson barreled through a board of 54245 and had just over one big bet behind when Roy Thung called on the river. Wasserson tabled the AA64 for trips fours but was left flabbergasted when Thung showed his AJ103 for a wheel.

Razz

Phil Ivey: 8x5x / 4x4xAxJx / 8x
Eric Wasserson: 2x3x / 4x10xKx4x / 2x

Left visibly frustrated and down to only 70,000 prior to posting the ante in Razz, Wasserson then moved all-in over a completion by Phil Ivey, who quickly called. Wasserson quickly meshed his three first cards together to show a four-trey-deuce start against Ivey's eight-five-four.

On fourth street, Ivey even paired his four while Wasserson had a ten draw. However, the run-bad continued on the next two streets when Wasserson caught a king and paired his four. Ivey made a jack-eight and paired his eight on the final card to leave the door wide open for Wasserson to survive.

However, it was not meant to be as he also paired the 2x and quickly walked out of the tournament area.
