Brian Rast was able to scoop a pot in the previous hand towards the end of the Pot Limit Omaha round and then found himself in the big blind still on a very critical short stack. The action folded to Benny Glaser in the small blind and he raised to 60,000. Rast potted behind and Glaser eyeballed Rast's short stack briefly before reraising. Rast called all-in.

Rast was in dire shape and the 7♥6♠5♦ flop brought no further equity in his bid for a repeat victory. It was all over on the 6♣ turn to make the 5♠ river a formality. The 2023 $50,000 Poker Players Championship winner bowed out just shy of the money while Glaser cemented his position among the big stacks in the field with 19 players remaining and 17 spots paid.
