Mercier then check-raised Tong on the A♠8♣7♠ flop. Tong called, seeing Mercier check again on the 9♣ turn. Tong bet, and this time Mercier just called.
Another check, bet, and call followed on the 2♦ river. Tong tabled A♣K♠3♥2♣ for top pair and an eight-low. Mercier had the same low with A♦Q♠7♣3♠, but his two pair earned him the high half of the pot as well.
