Puri Puts on a Squeeze

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Octavio Borra raised to 50,000 from early position and was called by Dimitrios Anastasakis from the cutoff. Shawn Puri, who had been bleeding chips since dinner break, three-bet to 410,000 — leaving himself just a few chips behind.

Borra quickly folded and Anastasakis followed suit after a bit of thought to award Puri the pot.

Easy Pickup for Lin; Hastings Out

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Kyle Lin opened to 55,000 from middle position and was called by Yongqing Yuan in the cutoff and Danilo Donnini on the button for a three-way pot.

Action checked through on the 276 flop and Q turn, but Lin led out for 175,000 after the J completed the board.

Neither Yuan or Donnini wanted anything to do with it and folded — conceding the pot to Lin, who is among the chip leaders with 2,500,000.

At another table, six-time bracelet winner Brian Hastings was eliminated.

Martin Jacobson raised to 55,000 from under the gun and was looked up by Jeanluc Voyer in late position, Chung-Tang Lin on the button and Maksim Tatarintsev in the big blind.

Players checked around on the JJ4 flop to see the 6 peel off on the turn.

Tatarintsev led out for 115,000. Jacobson and Voyer got out of the way and Lin made the call.

The river brought the 3 and Tatarintsev led out for 350,000. Lin went into the tank for a short while before he moved all in for 680,000. This sent Tatarintsev back into the tank for a while before he released his cards to send the pot to Lin with no show down.

2004 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event champion Greg "Fossilman" Raymer is known for handing out authentic fossil card protectors to those who eliminate him, but not all players are so lucky.

Raymer, who is currently running deep in Event #61: $1,000 Super Seniors, revealed to PokerNews that his fossil giveaway comes with a "douche bag clause" that leaves some players who bust him with chips and a story, but no prehistoric card protector.

Ryan Julius and Mantas Bagocius each committed 135,000 before the K99 flop, with Julius checking in the hijack. Bagocius bet 65,000, and the call was made.

Both players declined to bet the 2 turn, and another pair of checks followed the 6 river.

Julius tabled KQ for two pair, taking down the pot as Bagocius mucked.
