Puri Approaching Seven Figures

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Shawn Puri and Thomas Cazayous were heads-up on a completed board of 108108K with about 200,000 already in the middle.

Cazayous checked from middle position and Puri fired 190,000 into the middle from the hijack — sending Cazayous into the tank.

Cazayous eventually decided to lay his hand down and Puri offered to show his hand before sending it into the muck.

"It's not that interesting," Puri said as he collected the pot.

Interesting or not, the Day 1 chip leader has maintained a strong position and remains near the top of the counts with a stack nearing one million.
