O'Neill Drills the River to Send Menhardt Home
Level 24
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Julian Menhardt made it 80,000 to play from under the gun and was looked up by Micheal O'Neill in the big blind.
The flop came J♦Q♥6♥ and O'Neill checked to Menhardt, who continued for 75,000. O'Neill check-raised to 150,000, which was met with a re-raise all in from Menhardt. O'Neill snap-called.
Julian Menhardt: K♣K♦
Micheal O'Neill: J♥8♥
Things were looking pretty hunky dory for Menhardt to get a double up, and the 5♣ turn changed nothing. However the poker Gods have a sick mind sometimes, and served up the 8♦ as the river to give O'Neill two pair and crack Menhardt's kings, sending him to the cage.
