Good Fold for Keating
Level 9
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Play was already underway when Alex Keating, in the big blind, bet 5,000 into an 8,000 pot beside a 8♠3♣4♣ flop. Doug Polk called to see the turn.
It dropped Q♦, and Keating kept the pressure with 12,000. Polk called once again.
On the river 10♥, Keating eased up and checked, prompting Polk to announce all in. Keating asked for a count (198,000). Polk complained, "I have you covered."
Keating defended his request, stating that he was saving on his last time bank. He threw it in anyway and folded his hand as time ran out. He showed J♣6♣, and Polk showed one card 3x, which made Keating quite satisfied with his fold.
