Nuts Over Second Nuts Ends Oeye's Run

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Espen Oeye, raised to 2,000 from under the gun and was called by Loren Klein from directly behind. Wai Ngai made it 8,900 to go from the hijack and both Oeye and Klein called.

Everyone checked on the 937 flop and Oeye checked again on the 10 turn. Klein bet 15,000, which got a fold from Ngai and a call from Oeye.

The 6 completed the board and Oeye checked a final time. Klein bet enough to put Oeye all in for a bit over 30,000 and Oeye went into the tank.

Oeye, who had been drinking and engaging in plenty of banter with his tablemates since the start of the tournament, said "I'm sorry if I'm slowrolling. I'm too drunk to see the board," as he stood up at took a closer look.

"I have the second nuts..." Oeye said. "The question is, am I bad enough to fold?"

After a bit more pondering, Oye committed his stack into the middle and Klein revealed KQJ8 for the nut straight. Oeye showed he held 9843 for a lower straight and wished his tablemates good luck before exiting the tournament area.
