Lonis Almost Closes the Gap to Mizrachi

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Jesse Lonis raised to 240,000 and was called by Raj Vohra, as well as Toby Joyce in the big blind. The KQ5 flop was checked to Lonis and his bet of 380,000 won the pot.

Aaron Kupin opened to 420,000 and Martin Zamani called on the button. On a flop of A102, Kupin bet 275,000 and Zamani folded.

Lonis then defended his big blind against a raise by Michael Mizrachi. He check-called the AAJ flop for 125,000 and the 6 turn for 400,000. Mizrachi checked behind the 8 river, and Lonis announced the "second nuts" before flipping over his AQ108 for aces full of eights.

"You could have just said you win, If he checks, it is kinda the nuts," Zamani mentioned with a smirk.
