Klezys Hanging By a Thread
Kasparas Klezys was down to one green chip, but scored two double-ups to gain a fingerhold again.
The first hand took place when he went all-in for his final 25,000 under the gun. Sean Winter re-raised to 95,000 from the next seat over as Klezys and Winter went to a showdown.
Kasparas Klezys: A♣7♣6♠3♦
Sean Winter: A♦K♣K♦Q♥
Klezys needed help to stay alive, and the board brought some when it came 5♠4♦K♥9♥2♣ to improve Klezys to the wheel straight.
The next double-up took place when Robert Cowen opened to 35,000 on the button before Klezys shipped it for 60,000 from the small blind. Cowen called to put Klezys at risk.
Kasparas Klezys: A♦9♦6♥2♥
Robert Cowen: K♣Q♦Q♥J♥
Klezys found a way again when the board ran out 2♠2♣3♣9♥4♦ to improve his hand to trip deuces to survive.
