Action Slows Down, Weber Ahead
With the chip stacks nearly even, the pace of play had slowed considerably, with many pots ending before reaching the turn. Eric Weber and Henry Benamram continued to apply pressure on one another, but Weber had begun to gain the upper hand.
In one such pot, Benamram opened to 12,000,000 from the button and Weber called. The flop came 9♣10♣4♣, and Benamram immediately moved all in, forcing Weber to fold his hand.
A couple of hands later, the pair had already built a pot of roughly 20,000,000 when the flop fell 5♦4♠7♣. Benamram check-called a 10,000,000 bet from Weber then got another barrel of 16,000,000 on the K♥ turn. Benamram decided to fold, surrendering another pot to his opponent.
Then, they finally engaged in a hand that reached the river.
Benamram opened for 16,000,000 from the button and Weber called. The flop came 5♠10♥3♠.
Both players checked leading them to the turn.
The turn fell 2♥. Weber led out with 12,000,000. Banamram called.
Weber continued with 22,000,000 on the river A♠ which was enough to take the pot down.
