Short Stacks Double Up
Level 24
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Robert Mizrachi raised his button to 125,000. The short-stacked Alnoor Pujani defended his big blind before he pushed in his remaining 170,000 on the 5♥J♥3♦ flop. Mizrachi quickly called.
Alnoor Pujani: K♦8♠6♥4♦
Robert Mizrachi: K♣7♠6♦5♣
The J♣ turn helped neither player, but the 2♦ made only Pujani a straight, for him to double up.
Over at another table, Yuhong Liu got his 710,000 in preflop from the big blind against Biao Ding on the button.
Yuhong Liu: K♠K♦Q♦9♥
Biao Ding: A♦Q♠J♦10♦
Liu's kings turned into top set on the Q♣3♦8♠K♣6♠ runout, doubling him back up to a seven-figure stack.
