Matt Grapenthien Eliminated in 19th Place ($50,340)

Level 18
Matthew Grapenthien
Matthew Grapenthien

Stud Hi-Lo

Matt Grapenthien: 34 / 399A / K
Maxx Coleman: XxXx / 8K10 folded on fifth street
William Kerkaert: XxXx / Q4K7 folded on sixth street
Shaun Deeb: 67 / 2589 / 5

Alex Foxen gave up a Stud hand against Walter Chambers when the latter bet fifth street with just over one full bet behind. The game then changed to Stud Hi-Lo and Matt Grapenthien completed. Maxx Coleman raised and William Kerkaert reluctantly called, bring-in Shaun Deeb also called and Grapenthien then moved all-in for 115,000 total to receive three calls.

Coleman and Kerkaert checked to Deeb who bet fourth street and they headed to fourth street. Coleman and Kerkaert checked, Deeb bet, Coleman folded and Kerkaert called. On sixth street, Deeb made four open spades and Kerkaert check-folded.

Deeb had no spades in the hole but the nine-high straight already. Grapenthien held two pair and failed to improve, bowing out in 19th place for $50,340.

They played one more hand during which Alex Foxen asked the floor if they could get the full 15-minute break. The floor suggested rock, paper, scissors and Foxen "lost that flip" but folded without any major action happening thereafter.
