Hand #135 - Ylon Schwartz

Dennis Phillips has the button in Seat 1. Ylon Schwartz completes the small blind, Ivan Demidov raises 1,150,000 more from the big blind and Schwartz calls.

The flop is {J-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. Schwartz checks and Demidov checks behind. The turn is the {9-Clubs}. Schwartz leads out for 2,000,000, chasing Demidov away, and he takes down the pot.

Hand #134 - Chopped Pot between Ylon Schwartz and Peter Eastgate

Peter Eastgate has the button in Seat 9. He raises yet again to 1.5 million. Ylon Schwartz reraises from the big blind to 4.6 million, almost one-third of his stack. Eastgate is not afraid; he quickly moves all in. Schwartz just as quickly calls all in for his tournament life, a total of about 15 million.

Schwartz: {A-Spades} {K-Clubs}
Eastgate: {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}

This is the second time today that two players have gotten the chips in preflop with both holding Big Slick. The previous pot resulted in a chop between Chino Rheem and Kelly Kim, but not without some drama; Rheem flopped a four-flush, causing Kim to have to sweat the turn and river.

History repeats itself, with a flop of {9-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}. Once again the short stack has to sweat two cards. If a diamond hits the turn or river, Ylon Schwartz's Main Event run will be over.

The turn is the {7-Clubs}; one successful dodge in the books. The turn is the {5-Clubs}, and Schwartz can stop holding his breath. He's still in the game.

Hand #132 - Ivan Demidov

Ylon Schwartz has the button in Seat 3. He opens the pot with a raise to 1.5 million. Ivan Demidov reraises from the small blind to 4.925 million, driving big blind Peter Eastgate out of the pot. A staring contest ensues, with Schwartz pondering what an appropriate reponse to Demidov's raise should be. The answer, apparently, is to call.

Demidov has to act first on the {9-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {2-Spades} flop. He reaches for a stack of chips and cuts out 7.125 million, which makes its way into the center of the table. Schwartz quickly and quietly lays down his hand. He is now the short stack, with just more than 15 million in chips.

Hand #131 - Ivan Demidov

Big hand, no action
Big hand, no action
Dennis Phillips has the button in Seat 1. Peter Eastgate raises to 1.5 million and Ivan Demidov makes the call from the big blind.

The flop is {K-Spades} {J-Hearts} {10-Spades} and both players check. They both check again when the {3-Spades} falls on the turn. The river is the {Q-Diamonds} and they check a third time

Ivan shows {A-Hearts} {9-Spades} for the nut straight and wins the pot.
