Hand #66 - Darus Suharto

Darus Suharto was all smiles after making a running two pair.
Darus Suharto was all smiles after making a running two pair.
Scott Montgomery has the button in Seat 4. Everyone passes to Ylon Schwartz, who raises to 1.1 million from the cutoff. Scott Montgomery folds the button. Darus Suharto peeks at his cards in the small blind and then announces that he is all in for a total of 3.9 million. Chino Rheem gets out of the way, sending action back around to Schwartz. He shrugs and says, "Alright, I call."

Suharto: {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts}
Schwartz: {Q-Clubs} {8-Spades}

Suharto can't be thrilled with this call by Schwartz, as Schwartz has a fairly weak hand but still two live cards against Suharto's ace-king. Suharto must be even less thrilled after the flop comes {2-Hearts} {6-Spades} {Q-Hearts}.

The flop gives Schwartz top pair and a stranglehold on the hand, but there are still two cards to come. The first catches Suharto squarely in the face -- the {K-Clubs} gives him a pair of kings to overtake Schwartz's queens. Suharto is motionless when this happens, but does turn around to offer his supporters a smile on the river {A-Hearts}. Despite an ugly flop, Suharto doubles up at Schwartz's expense.
