Hands #58-62: Quads For the...Chop!

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Hand 58: Chris Solomon raised to 60,000 on the button, and Josh Clanton moved all in for 262,000 from the big blind. Solomon called.

Josh Clanton: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Chris Solomon: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The flop came {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, and Clanton still needed to hit one of his overcards to stay alive. The turn was the {K-Hearts}, giving Clanton some more outs to either win with a king or chop with a jack.

The river was the {j-Hearts} and Clanton cheered, knocking his chair over in the process. Both players played to board to chop the pot with quad jacks with a king kicker

Hand 59: Alex Cordova raised to 50,000 from the hijack and everyone folded.

Hand 60: Chris Solomon raised to 60,000 from under the gun, and Alex Cordova called from the big blind.

The flop came {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and both players checked to the turn, which was the {2-Diamonds}. Cordova checked, and Solomon bet 100,000. Cordova called.

The river was the {q-Diamonds} and Cordova led out for 150,000. Solomon grabbed some chips and said, "I think you've got garbage. I can beat garbage." Eventually, he called. Cordova was reluctant to table his cards, so Solomon showed {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Cordova mucked his hand.
