Gerhart Loses Battle of Sevens Against Wattel

Level 5 : 300/600, 0 ante

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

In a hand that occurred just prior to the break, Kevin Gerhart limped in from the small blind, and Mike Wattel raised pot from the big.

Gerhart called, and both players drew two as Gerhart checked to Wattel and he potted once again. Gerhart responded by re-potting before Wattel was all in for roughly 10,000, with Gerhart calling.

Both players stood pat on the next two streets before Gerhart tabled his {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-}, only to be bested by Wattel's {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

Haman Quartered

Level 5 : 300/600, 0 ante

Big O

Our PokerNews reporter stumbled over to find Adam Haman all in holding {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Spades} against an opponent's {A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades} with the final board reading {J-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}.

As both players made the nut low, it was Haman's opponent making a better two pair that would ensure he received three-quarters of the pot, while Haman was quartered and left with just 1,000 chips.

Jamison Eliminates Jungblut

Level 5 : 300/600, 0 ante

Razz

Catching the action on fourth street, Greg Jamison bet 300, and his three opponents called, one of which was Brett Jungblut. On fifth, Jamison fired again, and now only two players called before Jungblut took the betting lead on sixth street.

Jamison: {X-}{X-} / {2-}{A-}{3-}{3-} / {X-}
Opponent: {X-}{X-} / {2-}{2-}{8-}{9-} / {X-}
Jungblut: {X-}{X-} / {4-}{8-}{7-}{A-} / {X-}
Opponent: {X-}{X-} / {5-}{Q-}{9-} (folded on fifth)

On seventh street, Jungblut moved all in for his final 550, and Jamison and the player in the middle both called.

Jungblut tabled his {9-}{6-}{2-} in the hole for a seven-six low, but it would be Jamison's {7-}{6-}{5-} in the hole for a six-five low that would scoop the pot and eliminate Jungblut.

Johnson Takes the Lead

Level 5 : 300/600, 0 ante
Marco Johnson
Marco Johnson

Big O

Marco Johnson opened to 400 and was met with callers on the button and in the big blind.

The flop fell {10-Spades}{A-Spades}{5-Clubs}, and the action checked to the button, who bet 1,100. Both the big blind and Johnson called as the turn landed the {9-Clubs}, and the button bet 4,000. The big blind folded, but after roughly two minutes deliberating, Johnson called, and the river landed the {8-Diamonds}. Johnson bet out 8,000 to effectively put his opponent all in, and after about a minute, the button called all in for his last 5,900.

Johnson tabled his {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for the nut low and a straight as the button tabled his inferior {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} before exiting the tournament area.

Stud Hi-Lo Regular

Catching the action on fourth street, Ron Ware bet out 300, and Shaun Deeb called as two players folded. On fifth, Deeb bet, and Ware called all-in for his last 550. Each player's boards ran out as follows:

Ware: {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} / {4-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} / {2-Hearts}
Deeb: {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} / {5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} / {10-Spades}

With Deeb making both a straight to the eight, and an eight low, he eliminated Ware and his queen low and aces up.

Berg Scooped

Lawrence Berg
Lawrence Berg

Omaha Hi-Lo

Four players committed 600 preflop, and the flop landed {A-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

Reigning champion Lawrence Berg bet out 300 and was raised to 600 before Roland Israelashvili check-raised from the small blind to 900 and the big blind folded.

Berg called, and the player in the middle made it 1,200. Israelashvili capped it at 1,500, and both players came along as the turn landed the {10-Clubs}.

Israelashvili checked, Berg bet 600 and the next player called all in for 75. Israelashvili moved all in for his last 650, and Berg called.

Berg: {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Israelashvili: {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The river landed the {J-Spades}, and the side pot was scooped by Israelashvili, while he and the other player chopped the main pot. Berg was scooped and dropped down to 13,500 in chips.
