Volpe Denies Barbuto in Blind-Versus-Blind Clash

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

In the game of poker, one sometimes doesn't need to be a superstar to make a correct play. Cards can be very simple.

That was the case in the following hand, although its main character certainly qualifies for the superstars status; it was two-time WSOP bracelet winner Paul Volpe.

Volpe opened from the small blind and then called Ivan Barbuto's jam. Volpe had pocket tens and this hand surely brought no puzzle for him as he's been through this type of spot a million times during his career. Volpe's {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} faced Barbuto's {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and remained in front all the way through the {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts} board to knock out Barbuto and earn Volpe more chips.
