Jason Mercier Doubles Through Ankush Mandavia

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Jason Mercier
Jason Mercier

Ankush Mandavia raised to 50,000 from early position and Jason Mercier called from the big blind.

The flop came {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Mercier checked. Mandavia bet 30,000 and Mercier check-raised to 145,000. Mandavia called.

The turn brought the {5-Hearts} and both players checked.

The {Q-Diamonds} fell on the river and Mercier checked. Mandavia bet 125,000, which was more than enough to put Mercier to a decision for the remainder of his stack, and he went into the tank. After nearly two minutes, Mercier called and tabled {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a flush. Mandavia showed {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, and Mercier took the pot to double up.

Wing Wong Eliminates James Ray

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

With about 175,000 already in the middle and the board reading {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, Frank Bonacci bet, Wing Wong shoved, James Ray called to put himself at risk, and Bonacci folded.

Wong: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Ray: {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

Ray had a wrap and needed to improve against Wong's two pair in order to double up. The {A-Spades} on the turn was no help to Ray, and the {4-Spades} river gave Wong a boat to take the pot and send Ray to the cage.

Yves Kupfermunz Back-Raises

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Yves Kupfermunz limped from under the gun, Cody Slaubaugh called from middle position, the player in the cutoff called as well, and the button tossed out 95,000. The blinds both folded, and Kupfermunz announced, "Pot," which was enough to put most of his stack in the middle.

Slaubaugh folded, as did the cutoff, and after a few moments of thought, the button also mucked. Kupfermunz showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and let out a little laugh as he stacked the chips.
