Ware Hits Trip Queens

Stud Hi-Lo

Just when Mike Ross was chipping up and gaining momentum, a Stud Hi-Lo hand played out in Ron Ware's favour.

Ware completed with the {J-Spades} but Ross raised it up with the {5-Hearts}. Ware called and then faced bets on the fourth, fifth and sixth street. Ware kept calling all the way through before both players checked the seventh.

Mike Ross: {X-}{X-} / {5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}
Ron Ware: {X-}{X-} / {J-Spades}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

Ross announced "Aces" in the showdown but Ware showed {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{X-}, cracking Ross' hand after catching a third queen on the sixth street. Ross sighed, and threw his {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} up in the air.
