Ian Johns Doubles Through Matt Grapenthien

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Ian Johns
Ian Johns

Ian Johns was down to around 12,000 chips, and he raised in middle position. He kept telling each opponent left to act, "Ten thousand."

It folded to Matt Grapenthien in the big blind, who raised, and Johns called for the rest of his chips.

Johns: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}
Grapenthien: {Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} {K-Spades} {2-Diamonds}, and Johns, who has three bracelets, including two in Limit Hold'em events, doubled through.

After the hand, tablemate Christopher Chung, who was on the button, said, "Aw, I bust him!" meaning he would have won the hand had he played.

Johns replied, "You don't want to do that. I'm a pretty nice guy."
