Bruno Politano

With about 25,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{K-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Bruno Politano and Casey Carroll were heads up and Carroll checked. Politano bet 18,000, sending Carroll into the tank.

After just under a minute of thought, Carroll folded and Politano took the pot.

Peter Ruderschmidt Busts

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

There was a limp for 2,400 before Kenneth Po raised to 6,200 from the button.

Peter Ruderschmidt was in the big blind and he potted it. With the limper folding, Po raised again and the chips were in the middle with Ruderschmidt at risk.

Ruderschmidt: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Spades}
Po: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

Po knocked out Ruderschmidt with trip sixes.

“Those danglers!” another player remarked of the method of exit.

Yueqi Zhu Gone

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Yueqi Zhu Limped under the gun from a short stack and Darren Taylor called. It folded round to Alexander Condon who raised to 11,000 which then saw Zhu go all in for 15,000. Taylor left his 2,000 in the pot and folded.

Zhu: {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Condon: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Spades}

The cards came out: {9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Straight for Condon and an exit for Zhu.

A Little Double for Fraser MacIntyre

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Fraser MacIntyre raised to 5,500 from the hijack, Igor Sharaskin called from the small blind, and the big blind called as well.

The flop came {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and both blinds checked. MacIntyre moved all in for about 14,000, Sharaskin called, and the big blind folded.

Sharaskin had a jack-high flush draw, but MacIntyre had the lead with {K-Diamonds}{K-}{J-}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of kings and a king-hi flush draw. The {Q-Diamonds} fell on the turn to secure the double-up for MacIntyre and he took the pot after the {3-Hearts} fell on the river.

Dan Heimiller
Dan Heimiller

Dan Heimiller came back today as one of the shortest stacks with just 16,800. He managed to double up on the first hand he played and has barely looked back since with his stack now approaching 100,000.

In a recent hand where there was an open to 4,000 and another call, Heimiller came along from the blinds.

The flop was {2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

Heimiller led out for 8,000 and picked up the pot.

Some Updated Chip Counts

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Igor Sharaskin Climbing

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

With about 35,000 already in the middle and the board reading {K-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, Igor Sharaskin and another player were heads up and Sharaskin's opponent checked. Sharaskin bet 24,500, sending his opponent into the tank.

Over a minute went by and a player called the clock. As time was running out, Sharaskin's opponent called.

Sharaskin tabled {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} for top motorboat and his opponent mucked.

Darren Taylor Stacking, Not Racking

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

It’s been a very productive first two levels for Darren Taylor from the United Kingdom. Taylor has more than doubled his stack to over 200,000 and is sitting with an impressively constructed tower of chips in front of him.

The floor has offered to rack up some of the lower denomination chips for him, but Taylor declined for the moment as he was quite happy with the situation.

“Okay, no problem, but I’ll be coming for them eventually.” said the floor.

“Not if I get them first.” quipped another player.
