Jerry Payne Eliminated in 15th Place ($23,029)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Jerry Payne
Jerry Payne

Jerry Payne was just eliminated in two hands, but he lost the majority of his stack in the first one.

Payne opened to 35,000 on the button and Chris Moorman called in the small blind. Action was on Richard Tuhrim in the big blind and he thought for a while. He announced he was all in and Payne quickly announced he was also all in.

Moorman folded {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} face up and said, "At least I didn't shove," before the other two players' hands were revealed.

Tuhrim: {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Payne: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

The first four cards came {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and Payne was still ahead. Tuhrim was drawing to a four to win and a jack or five to chop. The {4-Hearts} came on the river, giving Tuhrim the winning hand. Payne let out some frustration and matched Tuhrim's stack, which was 411,000 total. Payne was left with just 22,000 after that hand.

Two hands later, Payne went all in for 18,000 in middle position and Chris Moorman raised to 48,000. The other players folded and Payne was at risk.

Payne: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Moorman: {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Payne was eliminated. He takes home $23,029 for his 15th-place finish.
