Trickett Decides Not to Get Tricky

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Adam Swan was in middle position and raised to 3,200. Sam Tricket called on the button.

The flop was {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Swan check-called Trickett's bet of 4,000. The turn then brought the {2-Hearts} and Swan check-called Trickett's bet of 7,900 this time.

The river was the {k-Hearts} and Swan checked a third time. Trickett pondered for a minute, clearly thinking of betting, but in the end he elected to check. Swan tabled {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a five-high flush and Trickett looked back at his hand before mucking. These two had just played a hand where Trickett had made a sizable 24,000 bet on the river and gotten a fold from Swan.
