Fernandez Survives Again; Kings for Sabat and Sprungl

Pablop Fernandez shoved the button for his last 138,000 with the {J-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Chi Zhang looked him up from the button with {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. The board came {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Fernandez doubled in spectacular fashion. He jammed twice after and got back up to 20 big blinds.

Eddy Sabat opened to 40,000 and Troy Sprungl called from one seat over. Jamie Armstrong three-bet and Sabat four-bet before Sprungl moved all in. That got Armstrong out of the way while Sabat quickly called with {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Sprungl had the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and the board came {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

Pete Chen Doubles Through Chi Zhang

Chi Zhang opened to 40,000 under the gun and Pete Chen moved all in for 187,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Zhang called, putting Chen at risk.

A Big Double for Pantaleo

Eric Cloutier raised and picked up two callers in Giuseppe Pantaleo on the button and [Removed:153] out of the big blind. Stenholm checked the {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop and Cloutier bet 50,000, which just Pantaleo called.

After the {3-Clubs} turn, Cloutier fired another 110,000 and Pantaleo called before facing the shove of Cloutier on the {2-Hearts} river. Pantaleo took some time and eventually called for his last 367,000. Cloutier briefly rolled over an ace-four and Pantaleo doubled with the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. "Sick call," someone at the table said and Pantaleo climbed above one million in chips.

Hannon and Fernandez Double

Philip Hannon shoved for his last 135,000 from early position and James Calvo called on the button. When the cards were tabled, Joseph Kent joked, "How does seat one get all the cards?" referring to Calvo.

Hannon was in need of help and struck gold on the board {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} to double with a full house.

Soon after, Pablo Fernandez shoved for his last six big blinds with {A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} from the cutoff and Chi Zhang called on the button with {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}. The board ran out {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Fernandez dodged plenty of outs to double.

Armstrong Takes on the Flop; Margereson Improves on the Turn

Jamie Armstrong raised to 40,000 in the cutoff and Asi Moshe called on the button, as did Vitor Rangel in the small blind. The flop came {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and the action checked to Armstrong. His continuation bet worth 72,000 won the pot uncontested.

At the same time, one table over, Giuseppe Pantaleo raised from under the gun and called the shove of short stack Scott Margereson for 124,000.

The board came {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Margereson got there on the turn to improve. "How do you get tens there? Why not jack-nine suited?" the Brit asked.

Pantaleo joked back with, "Jack-nine suited, I'd call. But don't feel sucked out on."
