Murray Rising Further

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
William Murray
William Murray

With plenty of chips already in the middle, William Murray checked the {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{J-Hearts} turn and Sean Byrne on the button fired a bet of 145,000. Murray called and both players then checked the {J-Diamonds} river that paired the board.

Murray was first to show and flipped over {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} to win the pot and cross the million-chip mark.

A Double for Gregory Fair

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We caught up to the hand with action on a flop of {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. After a raise by Gregory Fair, Randall Chamberlain moved all in with a covering stack. Fair quickly called and their hands were turned up.

Chamberlain: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Fair: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The board completed with the {j-Spades} and the {10-Diamonds} and that secured the double-up for Fair who had moved all in for 315,000.

A Trio of Bustouts

Level 24 : 12,000/240,000, 4,000 ante

David James, Timothy Gray, and Ron Jenkins have been eliminated. Jenkins was all in from the big blind for seven big blinds with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Thomas Symonds looked him up from the small blind with the {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. The board came {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Jenkins was drawing dead after the turn already, shaking hands with his opponent after all was done.

Gray shoved from the small blind for 185,000 and David Ives eventually called after getting a count. Both had similar stacks and Ives said, "Ah well, I guess one of us is gonna double up," before the showdown started.

Gray: {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Ives: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The {J-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop improved Gray and Ives asked for a seven once the {6-Spades} fell on the turn. However, he spiked the {A-Spades} on the river instead to regain the lead and knock out Gray. In a very friendly atmosphere (which applies to the entire day so far) both shook hands and Gray left the table with a smile on his face.

Danny Maddalena Eliminated; Final Four Tables

Level 24 : 12,000/240,000, 4,000 ante

In a confrontation between the small and big blind, Danny Maddalena found himself all in and at risk against Lewis LeClair.

Maddalena: {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
LeClair: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

"It's time to go," Maddalena said. "This is the best hand I've had so I gotta go with it."

The board ran out {3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and that kept LeClair in the lead the whole way. With Maddalena's elimination, the final 36 players will combine down to four tables.

Down to 34 Players

Level 24 : 12,000/240,000, 4,000 ante

Blair Rodman and Mark Bramley have been eliminated. The latter was just spotted leaving his table and the cards were all but rushed away while Dan Heimiller was busy stacking even more chips. According to Heimiller, Bramley shoved for 310,000 with ace-jack and Heimiller called with ace-queen to hold up after low cards on the board.
