Beckley Gets Quartered

Level 6 : 75/150, 0 ante

Big-O

The player in the cutoff raised to 400, Michael Sanders three-bet to 1,300 from the button, Josh Beckley called from the small blind, and the inital raiser called.

They checked to the turn of a {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} board where Beckley bet 4,050. The player in the cutoff called, Sanders folded, and the {10-Hearts} river completed the board. Beckley shoved for about 6,000 and his opponent called with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for the nut low with a flush. Beckley tabled {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} for just the nut low, and he only received a quarter of the pot.

Bart Hanson Takes Half

Level 6 : 75/150, 0 ante

PLO-8

With 600 chips already in the middle and the board reading {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}, both blinds checked, the player in the hijack checked, and Bart Hanson bet 400 from the cutoff. The small blind called, the big blind folded, and the hijack called.

The turn brought the {Q-Hearts} and all three players checked.

The {4-Hearts} fell on the river and the small blind checked. The hijack checked as well and Hanson bet 1,800. The small blind called, the hijack folded, and the two players tabled their hands.

"I've got a lo, but no wheel," said Hanson as he flipped over {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a pair of aces and seventy-five lo. But Hanson's hand was only good for the other half of the pot, as the small blind showed {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for sixty-two lo.

Omaha-8

With about 3,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}, the player in the small blind checked, Allan Le checked in the cutoff, and the button bet 300. The small blind called and Le called as well.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and action checked to the button again. He bet 600, the small blind called, and Le called.

The {8-Clubs} fell on the river and the small blind checked. Le moved all in for his last 350 chips, the button raised to 950, and the small blind called.

Le tabled {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the nut lo, the button showed {5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for a set of deuces for hi, and the small blind had the worst of it with {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for two pair and seventy-one lo, so Le and the button split the pot.
