Dan Healey Busts One; Hunts For WSOP Cash Number Five

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Dan Healey was in the hijack and managed to get his opponent in the cutoff to commit all of his chips before the flop.

Healey tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and his opponent was at risk and well behind with {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Healey held on to eliminate a player.

Healey has had a successful summer so far, cashing in four WSOP events already. He looks for number five in this event with the hopes of closing out and winning his first bracelet.

Timothy Burt Makes a Good Read

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

The player under the gun opened to 400. Timothy Burt three-bet to 1,075 from one seat over. Action folded around to the original raiser who made the excess.

The flop was {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades}. The player under the gun checked and Burt bet 1,150. His opponent check-called.

The turn came the {10-Diamonds} and was checked around.

The dealer completed the board with the {3-Spades}. The player under the gun led for 1,950 and Burt went into the tank for a few seconds before making the call. Burt tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} next to his opponent's {9-Spades}{8-Spades} to rake in the pot with ace high.

Jewell Flips One to the Rail

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

Kurt Jewell raised to 600 from under the gun and the player in the cutoff moved all in for 2,625. Jewell thought for a moment and decided to call.

Jewell tabled his cards first, revealing {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and the cutoff was at risk with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a coin flip.

The flop came {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the cutoff was still ahead with two eights. The turn, however, was the {k-Clubs} and Jewell took the lead with a pair of kings. The river was the {5-Clubs} and jewell earned the pot and the elimination.

While Jewell was stacking his chips, another player at the table said, "Well I'm glad I saw that. Now I know you're a better poker player than I am." Jewell smiled and continue to stack his newly acquired chips.

Steve Dennis is Getting it Done

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

The flop came {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. The small blind led out for 3,600 and Dennis called. The turn was the {a-Hearts} and the small blind checked this time. Dennis immediately moved all in, and the small blind thought about it for a moment before letting his hand go.
