Dario Sammartino

Two players were all in preflop; the small blind and Dario Sammartino in the big blind. Ray Henson was in late position heads up against the player on the button for a side pot.

On the {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop, Henson bet and the button called. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Henson bet again. The button folded and the hands were tabled.

Henson: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Sammartino: {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Small blind: {J-Spades}{5-Clubs}

Henson was ahead with his pair of eights and the {2-Diamonds} didn't change that. Henson won the hand and eliminated Sammartino and the other all-in player.

Joe McKeehen raised in late position and Felipe Ramos three-bet in the small blind. The big blind folded and McKeehen called.

They saw a flop of {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Ramos bet. McKeehen called and the turn was the {4-Spades}. Ramos checked, McKeehen bet, and Ramos called. Both players checked the {A-Hearts} river and Ramos tabled {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, good for the pot.

Ian Johns

The cutoff raised and Ian Johns called in the big blind. The flop came {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Johns checked. His opponent bet and Johns called. The turn was the {9-Clubs} and Johns checked. The cutoff bet, Johns check-raised, and his opponent called.

On the {4-Hearts} river, Johns checked again, his opponent bet, and Johns check-raised again. His opponent called and Johns tabled {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a turned flush. That was good for the pot.

Deeb Enters

Level 8 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Shaun Deeb, fresh off a second place finish in Event#34: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship for $143,842 only a few hours ago, is the latest player to have taken his seat.

Deeb's entry means that the field has reached 110 players which is how many were in this event last year. With registration still opened up until the start of level nine, there's a very good chance that this year's field will top last year's number.

Joe McKeehen opened from middle position, and Michael Moore defended from the big blind.

Moore proceeded to check-call McKeehen's bets the whole way on the {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts} board.

McKeehen turned over {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} for the nut non-boat and won the hand when Moore mucked.
