Welcome to Day 2 of the World Series of Poker. Today the first non-hold’em event of the series kicks off with Event #4: $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better.

Last year it was Benny Glaser who took down this event to start a massive summer tear. He took home $244,103 and topped the field of 903 to bring home his second career WSOP gold bracelet. Just a few days later he also took down the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship as well, earning $407,194 and winning his third WSOP bracelet. We’ll see if Glaser returns to defend his title today in Event #4.

Today's schedule calls for 10 one-hour levels with breaks every two levels. Players will start off the event with 7,500 chips. Late registration will remain open until the end of Level 6, or roughly 9:45 p.m. PST.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Shorr checked to his opponent, who bet. Shorr called.

The Turn was the {10-Spades} and Shorr checked once more. His opponent bet and Shorr called again.

On the {J-Diamonds} river, Shorr checked a third time and his opponent checked behind. The played turned up {A-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and his flush was good enough to get a muck from Shorr.

Chris George Gets Scooped

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

After a raise and two calls, Chris George also called from the big blind. The flop came {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and the small blind checked to George, who bet. Two players called bringing three-way action to the turn.

The {A-Clubs} came on the turn and action checked to George, who bet. He only found one caller this time.

On the river {6-Clubs}, George bet for a third time. His opponent raised and George called.

"I have a queen-high flush and a deuce-four for a low," the player said, showing {Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. George took one more look at his hand before mucking, awarding the entire pot to his opponent.

On a flop of {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} action checked to Naoya Kihara in the big blind. He put out a bet and was called by two players.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and action checked to Kihara again. He bet and was raised by the player in position. Everyone else folded while Kihara called, taking the two heads-up to the river.

On the {10-Diamonds} river, Kihara checked to his opponent. She bet. Kihara took another look at his cards, sighed, then threw in a call.

"I have the nut flush," the player said, fanning her cards. "Four different ways."

She showed her {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Kihara groaned and turned up the {4-Clubs}, then mucked the rest of his hand.
