"Putt Putt" Makes it Through a Couple All-Ins

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Brendan Taylor found himself with a short stack going into the bubble but has survived several all-ins to stay alive.

"Let's go, putt putt!" a player at Taylor's table chanted as he moved all in again.

From under the gun, Taylor moved all in for 900. He was called in three spots by Humberto Brenes, James Douglas, and Paul Sokoloff.

The flop came down {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Action check to Sokoloff who bet. Everyone else folded and the two headed to a showdown.

Sokoloff: {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Taylor: {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{A-Spades}

The board completed with {10-Clubs} and the {Q-Hearts} and Taylor was able to quadruple his 900 into 3,600.

The next hand, Taylor moved all in from the big blind and found himself all in against Paul Sokoloff and Richard Sklar.

Sklar and Sokoloff checked down to the river with the board showing {7-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. On the river, Sokoloff bet and Sklar called. Sokoloff showed {A-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for a pair of sixes and the low, but Sklar showed {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a pair of aces. Those two chopped the side pot. Taylor then showed his {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades} to take his half of the main pot with the nut straight, allowing him to survive for another round.

Taylor is still laughing and smiling despite being in the danger zone here on the bubble.
