Stubborn Kohler Eliminates Hachem

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

"You were right about one thing, you're stubborn," Joe Hachem said to Bill Kohler after shipping him all his chips. Kohler stated that about himself earlier, and he just proved it.

The 2005 WSOP Main Event champion had open aces with two additional wheel cards on his board, betting on the river. Kohler raised to put Hachem at risk, and he called off.

While Hachem's hand looked to be strong, his hole cards {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{X-} weren't strong enough against Kohler's {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} combined with {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} hole cards. Kohler made a straight on the river, sending Hachem to the payouts desk.
