Kohler's Unorthodox Strategy Fails

Level 30 : 100,000/200,000, 20,000 ante

Bill Kohler had {A-Clubs}{5-Hearts} out and came up with an idea to bet without looking at his hole cards. He fired on fifth, too. Then he paired his five on sixth street, and fired again, still without knowing what he held in the hole. Ernest Bohn kept calling.

Bill Kohler: {X-}{X-} / {A-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} / {X-}
Ernest Bohn: {X-}{X-} / {7-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades} / {X-}

Seventh street was checked and Bohn rolled over {4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens. Kohler started exploring his hole cards. He turned over the {4-Spades}, saying, "that ain't bad". But then he opened the {9-Spades}. "That is bad." Finally, he rolled out the {K-Spades}. "That's even worse!" he finished his speech, knowing that meant a scoop.

Bohn re-established his big chip lead from earlier.
