Lisandro's Range is Top Set Only

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Jeff Lisandro
Jeff Lisandro

With the board reading {q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and just over 20,000 in the pot, Chun Law led out from early position for 20,000 and was called by Dong Suh to his left. Jeff Lisandro was in the big blind and raised all in for 73,000. Law took a moment to think but folded his hand, while Suh took over three minutes before the clock was eventually called. With five seconds left, Suh finally shoved his remaining chips into the middle, which turned out to be the exact same amount as Lisandro.

Lisandro: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Suh: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Lisandro was way out in front with top set and a flush draw, and Suh thought he was drawing dead. The {a-Diamonds} on the turn gave Suh some outs. but the {2-Spades} on the river gave Lisandro a full house and the pot.

"I thought your range was more than top set," said a disappointed Suh.

"It was until I went on a cooler. Now that's all I play," answered Lisandro, which got a laugh from everyone on the table.

TJ Cloutier Busts Another One

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Shane Abbott was in middle position and opened the pot to 12,500. The button called, and TJ Cloutier re-raised to 55,000 from the small blind. Both Abbott and the button called to see the flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Cloutier moved all in, and Abbott quickly called for his remaining 52,000, while the button mucked his hand.

Cloutier flopped the nuts with {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} versus Abbott's {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Abbott was already drawing dead. The turn was the {3-Hearts}, and the {8-Hearts} completed the board. Abbott was sent to the rail, while Cloutier stacked the chips.

Silow Busts Paddock

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

With about 65,000 in the pot and the board reading {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}, five players were remaining in the hand. Action checked to Robert Paddock in the hijack, and he bet 40,000. The cutoff folded, and Oskar Silow check-raised to 100,000 in the big blind. Action folded back to Paddock, who called.

The turn was the {10-Hearts}, and Silow and Paddock got it in for Paddock's remaining 10,000.

Silow tabled {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades}, and Paddock showed {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

Paddock needed to pair the eight or the jack, or Silow's flush would take the pot.

The river was the {k-Diamonds}, and Paddock couldn't improve, sending the massive pot to Silow.

Lance Howard Makes Aces Work

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

There was a raise to 13,000 from a player in early position, and Lance Howard three-bet to 46,500. The action was folded around to the initial raiser, who made the call.

The flop came {k-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}, and the action was checked to Howard. He moved all in, having his opponent covered. His opponent called for his remaining 87,000, and the cards were tabled. Howard showed {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, while his opponent had {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds}, and the river brought the {8-Hearts}, securing the win for Howard, who now sits with more than 300,000 chips.
