Loren Klein Leads Event #41: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Going to Day 3

The end of Day 2 in Event #41: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha has arrived with Loren Klein holding the chip lead. Klein bagged 719,000 chips, leading the remaining 18 players into the final day on Friday.
Klein previously won a WSOP bracelet in 2016 in the Mixed No-Limit Hold'Em/Pot-Limit Omaha event. He also has two runner-up finishes to go along with many other cashes at the WSOP. Klein is considered a PLO expert with most of his $1,394,049 career earnings coming in the PLO or Mixed Game events. When play resumes on Friday, Klein will already be guaranteed his first cash of this summer, but will ultimately be striving towards that second gold bracelet and a six-figure payday.
Day 1 chip leader Chun Law also had another impressive day, finishing with 638,000 — good enough for second place. Sergej Barbarez, another PLO expert, rounded out the top three with 570,000 chips after a strong finish to Day 2.
The day started out with 138 players returning from Day 1, and only seven players away from the money. It didn't take long until the money bubble burst with Andrew Moser becoming the bubble boy. The remaining 131 players were guaranteed to take home at least $2,249.
Eliminations came fast throughout the day. Some of the notables that were unable to find a bag but still took home some cash were Matt Waxman (30th place - $5,405), Tom Marchese (32nd place - $5,405), David Williams (78th place - $2,732), Yevgeniy Timoshenko (86th place - $2,513), Joe Cada (94th place - $2,356), and Dan Heimiller (130th place - $2,249).
When the final 18 players return on Friday, the blinds will start at 6,000/12,000. Everyone that was lucky enough to find a bag will be guaranteed just shy of $8,000, but they will all be looking for that first place prize of $231,483 and the WSOP gold bracelet. Play will get underway at noon on Friday and will conclude once a winner is crowned.
