Negreanu Antes Out to Soft Bubble

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Stud

Daniel Negreanu was down to his last two antes and was pleased to get dealt the {q-Spades}. That bought him one more hand after he folded, so he was all in with the {j-Diamonds}. He soon realized how bad of a spot he was in though, as two other players were dealt jacks as well. Tom West completed with {6-Spades}, and Ryan Himes made it two bets with {j-Clubs}. Those two played a side pot that saw West pair up and lead sixth.

Negreanu: {x-}{x-}/{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
West: {x-}{x-}/{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Himes: {x-}{x-}/{j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Himes called and both players checked seventh.

"Flush," West said, showing {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}. Himes mucked {k-}{k-}{7-} and Negreanu squeezed out one diamond but said his second card was worthless and left him drawing dead.

"On to PLO8," he said cheerfully.
