Everyone's Playing For Second

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Matusow: {x-}{x-} / {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Spades}
Schreiber: {x-}{x-} / {5-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Spades} — Folded

Action was on Mike Matusow on sixth street when we caught up to the hand. Matusow bet and Schreiber was in the tank.

"After I scoop this pot, you're all going to be playing for second," Matusow said.

"I'll take the field over that Mike," Shaun Deeb said, who had recently been moved to the table. "I'll even give you odds because I love you."

"I tried to give him odds," Shannon Petluck said. "I was gonna give him ten to one!"

Eventually, Schreiber folded. Matusow made a face and flashed {4-}{4-}.

"I was rolled up!" Matusow said.

Schreiber claimed he had two pair, but later changed his story, saying he had a pair and flush and straight draws.

"Miami" Heads to the Beach

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
John Cernuto
John Cernuto

Razz

"Miami" John Cernuto got his chips in as a slight favorite with {7-}{5-}{4-} against the {7-}{6-}{3-} of Hanks Honig. However, Honig caught gin with {a-}{2-} right away before a couple of jacks, leaving Cernuto in bad shape, thought he picked up {j-}{3-}{q-} to give him a live draw to an ace or deuce. He peeled a {7-} though.

Alexey Makarov Busted by Alex Livingston

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Stud

Livingston: {x-}{x-} / {3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} / {x-}
Makarov: {x-}{x-} / {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades} / {x-}

We caught up to Alexey Makarov and Alex Livingston involved in a pot on fifth street. On fifth, Livingston bet and Makarov called. On sixth street, Makarov thought for a while, then he bet. Livingston raised. Makarov moved all in and Livingston called.

Livingston got his draw and showed {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for three tens. Makarov showed {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for two pair, so he had out to a full house, but the {8-Clubs} on seventh was no help to him and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Deeb Eliminated

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Hold'em

Shaun Deeb was already all in when we got to his table, and Ryan Himes was betting into a side pot on {q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}. His opponent said he was sending two jacks into the muck, which turned out to be a good fold as Himes held {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Deeb was drawing slim with {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, and he told everyone good game as a {10-Spades} hit.

McCormick Doubles Through Cahill on the River

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Stud

Tom McCormick got all of his chips in on sixth street against Seamus Cahill.

McCormick: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}/{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Cahill: {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}/{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Cahill showed a worthless {3-Spades} on the river, so any club, four, or two pair would improve McCormick to a winner. He rolled over the {8-Spades} for eights up to double.

Cahill Gets It Back From McCormick

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Stud

Cahill: {x-}{x-} / {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} / {x-}
McCormick: {x-}{x-} / {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts} / {x-}

On fifth street action was on Seamus Cahill and he bet. McCormick called. Cahill bet again on sixth and McCormick called.

Cahil bet once more on seventh street, and McCormick called. Cahill showed {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades} for three of a kind, and that was good as McCormick could only show {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. That put McCormick on an extremely short stack as Cahill took down the pot.
