Duhamel Scoops Shak for an Effective Double

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Duhamel: {x-}{x-} / {3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} / {x-}
Shak: {x-}{x-} / {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} / {x-}

We caught the action on fourth. Shak bet and Duhamel called. On fifth, Shak checked, then called a bet from Duhamel. Shak check-called again on sixth. Shak check-called once more on seventh.

"Aces with a sixty-four," Duhamel said, showing {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Shak mucked.

"Did you start with the pair?" Shak asked. Duhamel shook his head.

"I made a sixty-four on sixth," Duhamel said.

"So my high card was good," Shak said.
