Welcome back to the 2017 World Series of Poker and yet another of the $10,000 buy-in Championship events, this time the Event #54: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed Championship.

Brandon Shack-Harris won this event last year for $894,300, earning his second bracelet following his 2014 victory in a $1,000 PLO event. Shack-Harris has four cashes already this series including two in $10,000 events.

He will no doubt face some fierce competition, though, as some of the best players in the world will be bringing their A-games to this high buy-in event. This three-day tournament with deep stacks of 50,000 starting chips and a slow structure will test some of the finest pot-limit Omaha minds and PokerNews will bring you all the action as it happens.

Cards go in the air at 11 a.m. with Day 1 of the tournament scheduled to play 10 one-hour levels with a 20-minute break every two levels and a 90-minute dinner break after Level 6. Late registration is open until the start of Leven 9 which should come around 9:30 p.m.
