Huihan Wu Tanks With Trips

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Bryan Piccioli raised to 3,000 from late position, and Huihan Wu three-bet to 8,100 from the cutoff. Piccioli called.

The flop came {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and both players checked to the {6-Spades} on the turn. Piccioli checked again, and Wu paused for about 30 seconds before checking back again.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and Piccioli took his time before betting 10,000. Wu leaned over to have a look at his opponent, then went into the tank for about two minutes before he decided to call.

Picciolli tabled {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for two pair, eights and fives. Wu tabled {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for trip fives and raked in the pot.

Jake Bazeley
Jake Bazeley

Action folded around to Jacob Bazeley in the cutoff and he raised to 3,500. Richard Lowe was on the button and moved all in. Bazeley wasted no time and put his chips in the middle to call.

Lowe was at risk with {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}, up against Bazeley's {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

The flop came {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Spades}, and Bazeley improved to two pair aces and jacks, but Lowe flopped a royal flush draw with outs to survive. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and the river was the {8-Hearts}, sending the pot to Bazeley and Lowe to the rail.

Kings vs. Jacks

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Sergio Cabrera
Sergio Cabrera

There was a raise to 3,700 from a player in early position and Sergio Cabrera three-bet to 11,500 on the button. Christian Rudolph four-bet to 26,000 from the small blind and the initial raiser folded. The action was back on Cabrera who thought for a couple of moments before announcing all in for 97,500. Rudolph called and showed {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, but was well behind the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} of Cabrera.

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Cabrera's pocket kings held up to give a full double-up. Rudolph was left with just 2,200 and will need nothing short of a miracle to spin that back up.

Three-Way All-In

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

There was a three-way all-in at a table with Peter Braglia holding {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, Thomas Miller turning over {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, and the big blind showing {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. Braglia was in good shape to nearly triple up after starting the hand with just shy of 50,000 chips.

The board ran out {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Braglia's aces held up. Miller was eliminated, and after being left short-stacked the big blind was eliminated shortly after.

Tong Li Doubles Through Jason Mercier

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With about 20,000 in the pot on a board reading {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}, the player in the small blind led out for 6,700 and Jason Mercier called from the big blind.

Tong Li was in the cutoff and moved all in for his last 31,300. The small blind thought for a moment and folded, and the decision was on Mercier. He was visibly uncomfortable and was unsure on what he was going to do. He appeared to be doing some math and was counting out his stack. Eventually, he called.

Li tabled his hand and revealed {7-Spades}{6-Clubs} for two pair, at risk against Mercier's {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a pair and a flush draw. The river was the {k-Spades}, and Li doubled up.
