Perry Doubles Through Seiver

Level 18 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Scott Seiver raised first to act, and Ralph Perry reraised on his left. Seiver called and then check-called a {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop. He checked the {9-Spades} turn, and Perry bet again. Seiver asked to see what was behind, and it was 79,000. He called again and checked the {8-Spades} river. Perry put in the rest.

"Don't worry I have a bad hand," Seiver said as he thought. "Most people would just fold. But, I have so much respect for you, I might just have to gift you this 79,000. Because you could have the king-queen suited here. You know it, and I know it."

Seiver did call, and Perry showed {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for trips. Seiver mucked {a-}{q-}.
