Bryce Yockey and Christopher Frank won their first World Series of Poker bracelet this summer while Benjamin Zamani earned his second bracelet by taking down Event #4: $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better. David Williams also joined the field to make it four additonal bracelet winners in contention.
On the turn of a board with more than 70,000 in the middle, Mack Lee checked from early position and Josh Arieh bet 72,000 from the button. Lee gave it some consideration and called before the river completed the board.
Both players checked and Lee turned over . All Arieh could do was sit there, shrug, and double-check his cards without saying a word. More than half a minute passed and Benjamin Zamani said, "The hand is over, right?"
Arieh shot back with a, "Are you in a hurry?" before mucking his cards.
Zamani said, "Might as well take the break now," with just one minute left on the level.
Artem Babakhanyan has disposed of one-time chip leader Leon Tsoukernik, just a level and a half into the day.
We missed the action but Babakhanyan was able to fill us in. The flop came and Babakhanyan had with two diamonds. Tsoukernik had flopped a set of threes and a diamond on the river gave Babakhanyan a flush to win the pot and bust Tsoukernik.
On the four-way turn showing , Philip Wiszowaty checked out of the big blind and so did Chance Kornuth and Noah Schwartz from early position. Niklas Astedt bet 8,000 and Wiszowaty check-raised to 26,000. That forced out Kornuth and Schwartz, while Astedt called.
After the river, Wiszowaty made it 15,000 to go and Astedt called. Wiszowaty rolled over for a jack-high straight and won the pot.
