Parvizi Triples Up, Foxen and Beckley Take a Hit

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Iraj Parvizi
Iraj Parvizi

With the board reading {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Alex Foxen checked in the big blind, Josh Beckley bet 35,000 in the cutoff, and Parvizi called on the button. Foxen potted it, and after a long pause, Beckley put a stack forward that had both his opponents covered.

Parvizi quickly moved his entire stack in, which totaled 170,000, and Foxen followed suit. Foxen was all in for 277,500 as the cards were revealed.

Parvizi: {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Foxen: {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Beckley: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Foxen was in the lead with two pair and an open-ender. Parvizi had the lower open-ended straight draw to go with his pair of eights, but a queen would give Beckley Broadway. Beckley was also looking for a heart to complete his nut flush draw.

The {7-Clubs} on the turn gave Parvizi the straight to the ten, and the {10-Clubs} river changed nothing. Parvizi scored the triple-up, and Foxen took the side pot with two pair, jacks and tens.

Parvizi Takes More from Beckley

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

With the board reading {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} and more than 85,000 in the pot, Josh Beckley had a bet of 56,000 in front of him on the button and Iraj Parvizi had raised to 275,000 from the small blind. Beckley tank-called, and just before the river card came out, Parvizi moved all in dark with Beckley's stack covered.

The river was the {J-Spades} and Beckley folded. Parvizi, who started the day at the top of the counts, but was short-stacked not long ago, is now around 900,000 chips.

Hale Doubles Through Kakon

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Millard Hale
Millard Hale

Noah Schwartz raised to 15,000 on the button, Millard Hale called in the small blind, and William Kakon raised to 60,000. Schwartz folded, and Hale called. The flop came {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}, and Hale moved all in for 84,000. Kakon called, and Hale was at risk.

Hale: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Kakon: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

Hale had a straight to the eight and was in good shape against Kakon's aces. The {4-Hearts} turn and the {6-Diamonds} river changed nothing, and Hale got the double-up.

Rifat Palevic Flushes Out Allan Le

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

There were four players that saw the flop of {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}, and the action was checked around to the button, who bet 55,000. Allan Le called from the small blind, the big blind folded, and Rifat Palevic called from the hijack position.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds}, and Allan Le led out for a pot-sized bet of 230,000. Palevic threw his remaining 105,000 into the pot, and the button folded.

Le tabled a set of aces, and Palevic showed {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}. The river brought the {q-Clubs}, and Palevic hit his flush to double up through Le.

Dan Smith Cracks Romanello's and Rast's Aces

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

In what turned out to be a flurry of action preflop, Dan Smith, Roberto Romanello, and Brian Rast were all in, with Smith having the largest stack. Romanello and Rast both had pocket aces, and Smith tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

The flop came {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, and Smith took a commanding lead in the hand. The turn was the {3-Clubs}, which sealed the deal for Smith, and the {q-Spades} completed the board.

Rast started the hand with around 200,000, and Romanello had roughly 300,000. The dealer pushed all of the chips toward Smith, and he continued to stack them for next two hands.
