Alex Keating is Just Getting Warmed Up

Level 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Alex Keating

One of the characters from last year's Main Event was Alex Keating. Keating is easily identifiable with his long beard and his unorthodox approach to sitting — he is often crouched on his chair like a catcher.

Keating didn't take long to start chatting up Maxime Heroux, who he refers to as Max.

On this hand, a player opened to 1,500 and Heroux made it 3,700. Keating was in the small blind.

"How much?" he said very deliberately.

Then he raised to 15,000. The original raiser folded and Heroux took a moment before folding as well.

"Right in your face Max," Keating said tossing the {k-Diamonds} face up across the table ala Gambit.

"How did that feel Max?"

The table broke out in laughter when Heroux responded with only a blank look.
