Gryko Wins a Big Pot Off Pantling

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Hand #1: Richard Gryko raised to 220,000 in the cutoff and Michael Krasienko three-bet to 575,000 from one seat over on the button. Jack Sinclair four-bet to 1,300,000 and both opponents folded.

Hand #2: Wesley Pantling opened the action with a raise to 250,000 and Gryko three-bet to 670,000. Pantling called. The flop fell {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} and both players checked. After the {J-Spades} turn, Pantling checked and called a bet of 540,000 by Gryko before checking again the {9-Hearts} river.

Gryko made it 1,225,000 to go and Pantling eventually called. Gryko tabled {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and Pantling sighed, then flashed pocket kings. "It happened to me twice. Guess all I could hope for was pocket queens."
