Feng Wang Warned Then Busts

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

There was a limp for 300 from early position and then Jeffrey Saunders raised to 1,350. Action then got to Feng Wang in the big blind who held up the five fingers on his left hand and threw in a T$5,000 chip.

The dealer took it as a raise, but as nothing verbal was declared, a few other players wanted the floor called to clarify. The floor arrived and ruled it a raise but warned Wang that he must verbalize any future raises.

The limper folded and Saunders took his time before raising to 18,000. Wang then studied his opponent for a minute or so before declaring he was all in and Saunders quickly called.

“He’s got aces,” some of the other players told Wang.

Saunders: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Wang: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}.

In a dramatic runout, Wang flopped a set, the turn brought flush chop outs, but the river delivered top set for Saunders who couldn’t help but give a little triumphant yell of relief.

There's no need for Wang to verbalise any future bets as he has been eliminated.

Blumenfield Pays Off Bhatti

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Neil Blumenfield
Neil Blumenfield

With three players in the hand, the board read {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} and action was on Neil Blumenfield. Blumenfield bet 5,500 and got a call from Deepak Bhatti on the button and a player in the blinds.

The river was the {6-Hearts} and both the player in the blinds and Blumenfield checked. Bhatti bet 15,000, which got rid of the player in the blinds, but Blumenfield called.

Bhatti showed {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for sevens full and Blumenfield mucked.

"Good hand, sir," the 2015 November Niner said.

Adams Shows a Bluff

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Brandon Adams
Brandon Adams

There was a raise to 800 from middle position and Brandon Adams called from the big blind. "Are you going to try and bluff me again?" Adams' opponent asked from across the table.

The flop came {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Adams checked to his opponent. "OK, I'll let you bluff me," he said as he bet 1,000. Adams took that opportunity to raise to 3,400 and his opponent mucked his hand.

"You have to show me if you're bluffing," his opponent begged.

"Of course I'm bluffing, but with some equity." Adams tabled {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} to indeed show his opponent a bluff.

Niall Farrell earlier this summer

With about 4,000 already in the middle and the board reading {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}, action checked to Niall Farrell in middle position and he bet 1,800. One player folded from the hijack and another called from early position.

The turn brought the {J-Clubs} and Farrell's opponent checked. Farrell tossed out an orange T$5,000 chip as he announced a bet of 4,000, and after a few moments of thought, his opponent sent his cards into the muck.

Chan Loses a Bit

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Terrence Chan
Terrence Chan

With about 9,000 in the middle of a {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs} board, Terrence Chan check-called a bet of 4,000 from a player in late position.

Both players checked when the {5-Clubs} hit the turn and once again to see the {a-Clubs} fall on the river.

Both checked one more time and Chan tabled {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a busted flush draw and his opponent turned over {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}, claiming the pot.

Ana Marquez Getting Short

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Ana Marquez
Ana Marquez

William Kakon opened the pot for 800 and picked up two callers before Ana Marquez in the small blind raised to 4,200, leaving around 11,000 behind.

The big blind called, as did Kakon, and another player but the player on the button decided to fold.

The flop was {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

Marquez and the player in the big blind checked it to Kakon who bet 7,800. The other players folded and debate turned to whether Kakon had been bluffing.

“I wouldn’t bluff if she only has 10,000 behind,” Kakon said, gesturing at Marquez’s stack as she remained tight-lipped,

“Dangerous spot to bluff,” opined another player.

Schulz Flops the Joint

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player in the hijack bet 1,400 on a {9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, and Robert Schulz made it 4,500 in the cutoff. A player on the button cold-called, the original bettor called, and the three took in a {k-Hearts} turn. Action checked to the button, where the player there put in 8,000. Only Schulz continued, seeing a {4-Clubs} river. Both players checked and Schulz tabled {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for a flopped straight.
